2020.新民街瘋狂派對

Walking down the bustling streets of Taoyuan, it's hard to imagine that Xinmin street has been developed since the Qing Dynasty. Even today, amidst the hustle and bustle, traces of old buildings from that era can still be found. During my research before creating my work, I discovered that human lifestyles continuously innovate, creating new forms of work and living. Similar to the architecture and business models found along this old street, they are choices made over many years of Han Chinese settlement, all of which are reflected on this predominantly commercial Xinmin Street.
Therefore, I chose to wrap myself in white cloth and, while on the street, I began by crouching low and crawling, gradually ascending higher. Finally, I revealed myself by opening the white cloth to reveal another person, dressed differently, using a cellphone to cover their real eyes while displaying new eyes on an electronic screen.
