As a child, I learned about Christmas from television, school, Children's book, and Japanese animations. I always wanted to experience life with a Christmas tree, snow, and Christmas presents, which I thought was romantic. Unfortunately, in Taiwan, there are no real Christmas trees or snow, only plastic fake trees, snow on TV, and exchanging unwanted gifts with classmates, which now seems ridiculous. My father used to say that our ancestors came from China and we don't need to celebrate Christmas. He said it was all a scam, and merchants just wanted to make money from us. This completely shattered my fantasies about snow, Christmas trees, and gifts. During Christmas, I bought a 10 NTD magic growing tree, which was at least affordable and satisfied my desire for romance on the brink of collapse. I moved closer to the magic growing tree to observe its blossoming process and drew the crystallization, maintaining a little bit of my illusion of romance. All of this with just 10 NTD.
